Maryland Signers of the Declaration

Charles Carroll and William Paca, two wealthy Maryland aristocrats, put their lives on the line by voting to sign the Declaration of Independence. They are both personally pursued by the British during the War. Charles Carroll is the only Catholic signer of the Declaration. The other signers are Samuel Chase and Thomas Stone.
